St. Paul's Episcopal Church Women (ECW) chapter welcomed nearly 40 women in the parish to a dynamic and fun-filled fellowship event on Sunday, April 23. Lunch was catered by Different Bites by Jose Rodriguez, after which we enjoyed facilitated table topic discussions. Ashley Cannan, Lou McNamee, Beth Ulffers, and Anne Tilley facilitated the table discussions; Jackie Hutcherson opened the luncheon and led the summary reports and wrap-up reflections. Among the possible future activities ECW might engage in include outreach efforts for our own parishioners and the broader community, a women's Bible study, a hunger relief project, yoga in our new meditation garden, and more fellowship events, among other initiatives. Going forward ECW plans to meet 3-4 times a year and will focus on fellowship, outreach and community support, parish support, and programs/events of interest to our wide community of women in the church. Annual commitments pledged to St. Paul’s support our operating budget, which directly supports worship, formation, community and global outreach, building and grounds, staff and other programs. Annual commitments are crucial to the work of St. Paul’s. We strive to maintain a balanced budget each year, with every dollar accounted for and put to good use in the people, places and plans of our parish.
