Our home was built in the mid 1950’s by Dixie and Marian McGlohon. It was originally a one story red brick ranch. In 2004 David and Nikki Brown oversaw a renovation that added the second story and changed the exterior facade. In the original home the now family room off the kitchen was an enclosed porch, the primary suite was two bedrooms, the staircase was a wood paneled sitting room and the desk area on the lower level was a utility closet. The Browns also added the back and screened in porches. Having lived in the Brookgreen neighborhood since 2006 on Orton Drive we were overjoyed to purchase this home in the spring and stay in our beloved neighborhood. When the possibility came for us to move here Jason said he had always pictured a Christmas tree in the front window. In an ironic twist, the couple we purchased this home from bought our previous home.
Our home is decorated with a collection of items special to us. In the upstairs sitting room the game table was Colleen’s Grandmother’s kitchen table and the desk was Jason’s Grandfather’s. The school desk in the kitchen was Jason’s Grandfather’s “side table” which Jason remembers sitting next to his recliner when he was a child. In the guest room is Colleen’s Mother’s Hope Chest from Japan where she lived as a child for some time. The rocking chair belonged to Jason’s Grandmother. The table in the primary bedroom was gifted to us from Jason’s Grandparents home upon the purchase of our first home. Much of the artwork in the home are originals done by our daughter Caroline (12).
The Nativity and Christmas Village were gifts from Colleen’s parents to help me “get started” after college. The skating rink was a gift from Jason’s Grandmother, she gave it to me one year just because she knew how much I loved it. The ceramic Nativity was handmade by Colleen’s Great Grandmother. The ceramic igloo and Christmas tree were handmade by Colleen’s Grandmother. The crystal in the family room cabinet includes the Waterford Millennium toasting flutes with the 2000 flute set being signed by the artist. The remaining crystal in the cabinet and in the home is also Waterford in the pattern of “Colleen”. A piece of the “Colleen” pattern has been a gift to me from my parents every Christmas since I was in High School. The Christmas tree in the formal living room is our golf tree decorated with golf themed ornaments. The Christmas tree in the family room is an eclectic collection of mementos from special occasions, travels and handmade treasures.
Thank you for coming to our home, and supporting St. Paul’s Church. The work they do with the Home Tour to provide support to those in need is the true meaning of Christmas.
“Christmas is most truly Christmas when we celebrate it by giving the light of love to those who need it most.” – Ruth Carter Stapleton
Chris and Beth Ulffers
3503 East Baywood Lane
Greenville, NC 27834
The Ulffers home at Christmas time is a warm and inviting place, filled with the sights, sounds, and scents of cherished holiday traditions. Our family loves decorating for Christmas, both inside and out, with collections gifted to us and those we’ve started for each other and our children.
As you enter the foyer, the 12-foot tree welcomes guests, proudly adorned with original hand-painted ornaments from Cyndra Gasperini of St. Paul’s. In the dining room, beautiful Swarovski crystal ornaments glimmer gifts from Chris to Beth since their engagement, with a new surprise each year. The Steuben tree in the music room showcases a special collection from their dear friend Mable Wolcott, who is also their children’s Godparent. Chris, a professional musician, plays numerous Nutcracker performances each year, delighting their children with new Nutcracker figures to add to their extensive collection.
As you make your way to the family room, you’ll see some of their most cherished decorations: personalized Christmas stockings and a beautiful, framed Advent calendar, cross-stitched with love by Chris’s mother. The music tree in this room is decorated with gifted ornaments from elementary music students, college friends, and colleagues alike. The Little Town of Bethlehem nativity village serves as a heartfelt reminder of the reason for the season and the true spirit of Christmas.
Beth is an accomplished pianist and the home is often filled with the soaring melodies of Christmas music from the music room and the fragrant aroma of gingerbread baking in the oven.
We invite you to unwind by the fire in our outdoor living spaces. We hope your visit to our home brings you peace, joy, and a sense of tradition, reminding us that Christmas is a time for family, friends, and neighbors as we celebrate the gift of our faithful and loving Jesus.
Warmest holiday wishes,
The Ulffers Family

Welcome to Our Home in Greenbriar Place
Nestled in the vibrant community of Greenbriar Place, our house was custom built by Cherry Construction between 2019 and 2020. This neighborhood is a delightful blend of traditional and contemporary single-family homes, each with its own unique character.
Our home, designed collaboratively by two sisters and a husband, focuses on creating an open-concept living space that seamlessly merges modern and classic styles. This design not only enhances the flow of the home but also provides the perfect backdrop for our extensive art collection. The layout features a spacious kitchen, an all-seasons sunroom, two master suites, multiple guest rooms, and an elevator, ensuring comfort and convenience for everyone.
As you step through the front door, you are greeted by a stunning work of art that commands attention—an entrance wall adorned with vibrant colors and an art deco twist. Throughout the house, you’ll discover original pieces by Otto Aguiar, alongside works by renowned artists like Peter Max and even Phyllis Diller (yes, the comedian). Our collection also includes antique artworks curated from Southeast Asia, creating an eclectic atmosphere where art thrives in every room, including the bathrooms and garage. We believe in infusing our living space with color, spirit, and personality.
Jim has proudly cheered for the ECU Pirates for over 50 years. In a heartfelt gesture, we transformed our garage into a celebration of Pirate pride, complete with a custom purple and gold floor. The look of sheer delight on Jim’s face when he saw this surprise was priceless—he now celebrates the spirit of “Go Pirates” every single day!
Sisters Suzanne and Sherry, both former retail executives, have a passion for seasonal decorating, with Christmas being their favorite. Their goal is to infuse joy and warmth into every corner of our home during the holiday season. Over the years, we’ve curated a charming collection of mini trees, reindeer, angels, snowmen, beautiful florals and owls. One of our guest rooms is even dedicated to whimsical Christmas owls, bringing a touch of cheer to all who stay.
The spirit of Christmas embodies gratitude, kindness, and the joy of sharing. We are honored to open our home for this wonderful cause and warmly invite you to celebrate the spirit of the season with us.
Scott and Abigail Baldwin
1156 Autumn Lakes Drive
Grimesland, NC
Our home was built in 2002 in the neighborhood of Autumn Lakes. We purchased it in August of 2023 and completely renovated not only the interior but also the exterior, including all the landscape and bluestone walkways throughout the property. It was a 10 month project, but to say we are in love with how it turned out would be an understatement.
When you first enter our home you will see our grand spiral staircase and checkered marble flooring, one of our favorite features! Our house sits on 3.5 acres and has water views from almost every room in the house. We love to sit out back and fish with our 2 year old son and look at all the geese in the water.
We have a few Christmas traditions that we love to do as a family. One is letting our son decorate his own tree, we let him do it however he wants! I cannot wait to see how it will change from last year to this year since he is getting older. Another tradition we do is watch Christmas movies on Christmas Eve while wearing matching pajamas. We also will either attend church as a family or watch online.
Our favorite area of the house would be the kitchen- we love cooking and hosting dinners for family and friends. I am so excited to start baking Christmas cookies and desserts! We love to lounge by our outdoor fireplace to make s’mores and gather with friends. One of the tables that will be decorated with the Nativity Scene was made by Scott’s grandfather in the 1960s. It is actually Scott’s favorite piece of furniture we have because of how special it is to him.
This will be our first Christmas in our home and we are so thrilled to share it with you all! Merry Christmas from the Baldwin family!
Stacey and Danette Pugh
1270 Windbrooke Drive
Grimesland, NC
We built our Don Gardner home in 2003 with the oversight of my Dad, who was a builder. We have a two story “party barn” where we enjoy family and friend gatherings, hanging out by the outdoor fireplace and making smores with the grandchildren.
Christmas has always been our favorite season and decorating for Christmas is something we both love and now our children have carried that same love for decorating into their homes! We have a tree in almost every room of our home and every tree has a theme. They include a Snowman tree, Santa Claus tree, Nutcracker/Dance tree, Gingerbread tree, Children’s tree, “Mom’s tree”, “family tree” and a vintage tree with homemade ornaments made by Stacey’s mother over 50 years ago.
In addition to our trees, you will also find our Snow Village collection we have collected for over 35 years and our Buyers Choice Caroler collection which includes several pieces we inherited from Stacey’s mother. Our Nutcracker collection was created from our daughter dancing in the North Carolina Academy of Dance Arts Nutcracker for several years and each Nutcracker holds a special memory. We have two very special Nativity Scenes that were passed down from both of our parents and hold a special place in our hearts.
One of our favorite family traditions is collecting Christmas ornaments from our travels and, when decorating, reminiscing about the trips each ornament represents.
We thoroughly enjoy sharing our home with our family and friends during the holidays and are excited to welcome new friends into our home this year. What we cherish most about the Christmas season is experiencing its magic through the eyes of our children over the years and now through our grandchildren.
Merry Christmas to all of you from the Pugh family!
