Adults and confirmed youth assist the clergy in the administration of Holy Communion. Training is provided. Each chalicer are scheduled to serve approximately once every month.
Volunteers read scriptures during Sunday Services, including prayers of the people. Lectors are scheduled to serve at both services and typically serve about once a month. Readers can identify any days they are unable to serve.

SOME GENTLE REMINDERS
Ø Changes. Please arrange for your own substitutes when necessary. Inform David Crean of any changes, preferably by the preceding Sunday, contacting him at

. Please do NOT contact the Church Office WITH THESE CHANGES.
Ø Punctuality. Please try to arrive for your appointed task in a timely manner. This is particularly important at the 10:30 services. Chalicers, kindly do your utmost to be there to vest by 10:15. If you’re not there by 10:25 we will have to find a last-minute substitute, which always causes some upset and confusion.
Ø Lectors. Please make sure before the service that the lectionary book is open to the correct page. Read slowly and distinctly, paying attention to the punctuation. Project. Project. Project.
Ø Intercessors. Please make sure that you check with the clergy prior to the service for any last-minute additions or changes.
Ø Chalicers. Please do not use perfume, cologne, after-shave, or any other lovely smelly stuff when you serve. Some parishioners are quite allergic to these. Chewing gum, it goes without saying, is a major no-no, especially in the chancel.
