The Gulf Oil Disaster is indeed a time for action on the part of government, corporations,

nonprofits and volunteers.  But it also begs for a religious response of contemplation,

prayer and calls for environmental and economic justice.

North Carolina Interfaith Power & Light sends our prayers out for the victims of this

seemingly relentless destruction of animal habitat, coastal economies, and

peoples' lives and livelihoods.

We encourage friends of NC IPL to get involved in support for this immense and

 irreplaceable natural heritage, one of the finest elements of God's Creation.
